It's been nearly twenty-five years since Des Murray and Simon Cubit first
told stories about Tasmanian mountain huts in A High Country Heritage.
Now, with the publication of Tasmanian High Country Huts, they have effectively produced a second edition. Some might ask why. The 1988 edition sold out relatively quickly. Whereas others had previously written about huts in the Kosciusko high country, it was the first time anyone had set out to document Tasmanian mountain huts. And it appeared to touch a chord with many people.
